Anniversary

Mark and I had a nice weekend getaway for our Anniversary. Nikki came and stayed with the kids. She is so awesome! I love that we didn't have to worry one bit about the kids. Thanks Nikki. For two years now we have been pricing mazda 3's for Mark to have a good car to drive to work. On Saturday we were driving on State street and saw some used cars so we stopped in to look. Four hours later we drove off the lot in a cute Mazda 3. Yea! no more calls to come rescue the old Nissan that over heated! There are some awesome deals out there right now. Monday when we got home Haley wanted nothing to do with me. She said " you need to leave on your trip" "I want Nikki to be my mom" OUCH! Tuesday she woke up and said " I need to give you a kiss mom" That was worth it. Love her!

Stockton had Jr. High registration on Thursday night. Can I just say it makes me SICK. My baby is going to Jr. High. Everytime I think about it I start to cry. I don't know how to handle this growing up thing. I don't like that he is so independent and doesn't think he needs parents anymore. He's such a good kid and I hope it will stay that way. HELP ME!

Highlights of the Week

What a great weekend we've had. Saturday we picked up new bedroom furniture for Abby's room it is so cute. Our hope is to have Haley sleep with Abby so she will sleep all night. So the first night failed and she ended up in our bed. Hopefully tonight will go better. Saturday night we bought bikes for three of us and helmets for all of us. Haley felt bad that she didn't have a bike so we ended up buying her a trike. The helmet aisle was a disaster when we were finished looking. I felt bad for the person who had to clean up that! Today we had our special Stake Conference with Elder Oaks. It was such a great experience for us. We got to the Stake Center at 9:30 and it was packed so we sat near the back of the gym. His talk was so awesome. The highlight was getting to shake his hand after the meeting and watching the kids faces as they met him. Abby said it would be so neat if Jesus was here with Elder Oaks. I agreed that would be very neat. It was a great day. I always love General Conference for this very reason to listen to the talks and being uplifted. I can't wait for Conference to roll around again.

Weight Loss Adventure

I have been on this huge health kick since Jan. 1. I am down 14 pounds now Yeah for me! I went down and had Mark check my Cholestrol last week, and once again it was a new motivation for me to kick my behind in shape. So first thing in the morning I do 1 hour of core videos on the ball which leads to very sore thighs and butt. Then I do the treadmill for an hour. I am so dedicated to getting in shape this year and keeping the weight off. I bought a bodybugg about 3 weeks ago. I love this little computer or whatever it is. I love knowing how many cals. I've burned and how many are left to burn in a day.

Haley is my little buddy. Every morning she says "my need to get my workout clothes on" so off we go downstairs where she works right along side of me. Sometimes she climbs on the treadmill with me. Most of the time she tells me to go ride the bike cause it's her turn on the treadmill. She is so fun and patient with me on this adventure.
