Kids Pictures

I finally was able to make a scrapbook-slideshow of the kids pictures. I tried to download them when I posted the other day, but couldn't get it to work. I hope you enjoy the slideshow.

More Swimming

Mat and Brooke invited us to go swimming up at her mom's pool. The Griffin's came too. What a beautiful home and yard she had. Mark had to work, but the kids and I had a great time. The flippers were the highlight of the night. Abby felt like a mermaid. Haley loved playing with Savanna on the stairs. Thanks you guys for a great night.

Neighbors

Last week we went out with the Shaw's and Griffin's. We are so lucky to have such great neighbors that are so fun to hang out with. We had some good laughs including watching Mat be humiliated on the saddle at Texas Road House.

End of Summer

Fall is here, or almost here. I thought it best to hurry and do a quick re-cap of summer. We spent at least two days a week at Lagoon, and one day a week at the Farmington pool. Haley loved it the most. Stockton had a lot of Lagoon days with his friends. That was hard to decide to let him go off by himself to that crazy place. He loved the freedom and all the fun.

The girls and I had a lot of fun shopping sprees for things we needed and some not so needed things, but we had a lot of fun spending time together. I love my girls! At one lunch date, we walked in and there were 7 Airforce guys in full uniform and all black. My cute Haley said " Look mom at all those Ashley's, what are they doing here?" That Ashley nurse has forever change black people for her. I guess it's good that she can say "Ashley" instead of some racist remark. She is so funny!

The first day of school was a crazy day for me. Getting up with a Jr. High kid was quite a shock. I know he'll make it through this year. The question is will Mark and I make it. Homework has been a huge deal around here. Abby had a great day and she smiled as usual. Haley started pre-school this year. She is in her second one already. Her first day of school the teacher's dog bit her on the arm so we had some drama. We found a great little pre-school for her. She loves it and so does her mom.

"My is whimmin"

I bought a water table for Haley to have something to do outside this summer. I thought she would love to play with buckets and fish etc. She was playing with toys and having a great time, so I decided to run in the house and load the dishes. A few minutes later I heard someone talking to her so I went out to see who it was. My neighbor Michelle was laughing so I looked down and saw Haley completely naked in the water table. I said Haley what are you doing? As cute as can be she said "my is whimmin". See for yourself!

Where is Yellowstone?

After 3 weeks of recovering, Haley finally started eating again. She lost so much weight and looked so sick. We had planned our trip to Disneyland before scheduling her surgery. We were worried we might not make our trip, or we might take her sick. Luckily she bounced back and we were able to go and have a great time. We had told the kids since March that we were going to Yellowstone for our family vacation. They were kind of excited about that. We had found a great deal to Disneyland so we decided to go there instead. The morning we left we had the car packed as if we were driving. All Stockton and Abby wanted to do is play Gamecube. We drove to Bountiful and picked up Grandma Welch and told the kids that she was coming with us to Yellowstone. Then we drove to the airport where we yelled "Surprise" we are flying to YELLOWSTONE. They were so excited because now that meant not driving 6 long hours of Stockton and Abby fighting. So we unloaded and said just kidding about Grandma coming. She was only driving us to the airport. As we boarded the plane to YELLOWSTONE the attendant said to the kids "Are you guys going to Disneyland?" Abby pipes up and said "no we are going to YELLOWSTONE." The attendant's face was so confused. Mark and I were trying not to lose it. Once we landed in California we took a shuttle to get our rental car, and again another person asked the kids if we were going to Disneyland. Again our sweet naive children said "no we are going to YELLOWSTONE." So off we drove to find YELLOWSTONE! Stockton was beginning to question this whole trip. Where are the mountains.? What is taking so long to find the entrance etc. We drove right up to the gates at Disneyland before they figured it out. Stockton finally saw the sign and yelled DISNEYLAND! Then we said Surprise!! It was so cool to actually pull off a huge surprise like this. Haley was so cute for the whole trip. She loved every ride and was so sad when we left. I love going to this magical place. I love watching my girls meet the princesses. I love to watch my hubby turn into a little kid. He is the energizer bunny. We go for 5 days from opening to close. Long after the kids and I are ready to go to the hotel, Mark is planning the next 5 rides to go on. It is my absolute favorite place to go with my kids. Thank you to my sweet hubby for planning this wonderful trip and making it so fun for all of us. I love you so much.

Ashley

We finally took Haley to the Doctor to see why she wouldn't sleep and found out that her tonsils were huge. We scheduled surgery in June. The morning of her surgery we gathered up her care bear she named MaMa (pronounced MawMaw that's what our kids call my mom) and some other stuffed animals and left to Bountiful. She was in a great mood, she looked at the fish tank and read book after book. When they called her back she started to get nervous. We sat in a little cubby behind a curtain for quite sometime when a cute nurse came in to see us. Haley was so talkative and was pretty calm. She checked her blood pressure and told her what the Doctor was going to do during surgery, Haley just listened to every word of it. Then she told us she would be back soon to take her to surgery. So after some more time went by we saw the curtain pull back and in walked a NBA player look-a-like. Head to toe in tatoos and piercings. He introduced himself in a low voice. Hi I'm Ashley and I will be taking Haley to surgery. Well you should have seen Haley's face. She started screaming all she wanted was this cute GIRLAY (girl) nurse. He reached out to pick her up and she screamed so loud and grabbed me around the neck and held on for dear life. Did I mention he was black? I don't think she has ever seen a black person. I felt my heart breaking for her. He finally took her, and we heared her screaming all the way down to the operating room. I should have said to Ashley no offense, but she wanted the GIRLAY nurse. When she woke up I was rocking her and she looked up at me and said "where's Ashley?" Poor baby

Catch up time

I have so much to catch up on, and it seems so overwhelming so here it goes. Stockton graduated Elementary in May. He had a part in the graduating ceremony reading a Dr. Seuss book. I thought he would be a little bit sad to leave grade school, but right after the graduation he was ready to go home. I tried to get him to say goodbye to his teacher, but he wouldn't have that. He thinks he is way too cool for that. We got home and Abby met me at the door just sobbing because she is going to miss her teacher. It's amazing to me how different these two kids are. Abby is so soft hearted and really loved having Mrs. Birch. We had lots of hugs and saying it's really going to be okay. Haley was so glad to have them home for the summer.
